The Embassy of Malta in Athens organizes two special cultural events at the initiative of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of Malta, in cooperation with the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports.
According to His Excellency, the Ambassador of Malta in Greece, Mr. Joseph Cuschieri, this is a special occasion that marks and celebrates the excellent relations that the two countries maintain in many sectors.
“This event is another opportunity to strengthen relations between Malta and Greece in sectors other than commercial and political, such as culture, the arts and innovation, creating mutual opportunities and exchanges.”
Thanking all those who collaborated with the Embassy for these cultural events to materialize, the Ambassador of Malta urges the public to attend them enjoying this unique experience.
The events will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of Malta, Mr. Carmelo Abela, the Greek Foreign Minister Mr. George Katrougalos and the Culture Minister, Ms. Mirsini Zorba.
The program includes:
Sunday May 19th, 2019 at 11.00
High Mass in collaboration with the Holy Archdiocese of Athens Catholics, at the Catholic Cathedral of St. Dionysius, the Areopagite (24, Panepistimiou str and Omirou str.).
The Holy Mass will be celebrated by H.E. the Catholic Archbishop of Athens, f. Sevastianos Rossolatos, and H.E. the Aposotlic Nuncio to Greece, Archbishop Savio Hon Tai-Fai.
The Cappella Diacono-Malta will be performing “Messa in Mib”, one of Maltese Maestro Carlo Diacono’s major liturgical compositions for orchestra, choir and soloists, directed by Raymond Sciberras F.L.C.M

Concert of Maltese Sacred Music from the Orchestra and Cappella Diacono-Malta Choir, directed by conductor Raymond Sciberras F.L.C.M., at the Athens Concert Hall, Nikos Skalkotas Hall (Vas. Sofias Avenue & Kokkalis Str.).
Entrance is free. Receipt of tickets, by priority, from the Embassy of Malta (96, Vas. Sofias Ave., Athens) or the Charity Organization “Caritas Athens” (9, Omirou str., Athens).
