Social Integration team of Caritas Athens’ Refugee Program offered an array of actions to beneficiaries sheltered by our Organization.
Within the framework of the Buddy Program, which nurtures friendships among Greek and refugee families through personal encounters, joint participation into leisure activities and the development of interpersonal and intercultural skills, the team organized a walk through the idyllic oasis of the capital’s National Garden.
Families participating in the program were given the opportunity to stroll through its verdant pathways, by the pools, and to be guided to the zoo, while children enjoyed the playground and laughed heartily!
Refugees accommodated at the building in Ghazi, had a guided visit to both the Acropolis Museum and the Sacred Rock, enjoying their first acquaintance with the ancient Greek civilization and their host country’s history.
Finally, the screening of two children movies in Farsi at Patission street’s Shelter in co-operation with the Hellenic Film Academy (ΕΑΚ) enthused our underage beneficiaries.
