Specialized two-month training seminars for sewing-moulage are attended since March by eight refugees benefaciaries of Caritas Athens and Caritas Hellas at the PANSΙK Scuola di Moda School, with the funding of CRS, in the context of training and empowering, for the acquisition of potential for their future professional rehabilitation.
The participants, six women and two men from Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, show great interest in the subject, and the language difficulties encountered in the beginning are overcome by effort and constant practice. From the School side, there is a desire to facilitate the most talented and diligent students in finding work in garment crafts.
It must be stressed that the recognized PANSΙK Scuola di Moda School was founded in 1977 and belongs to the homonymous Group, providing since then a complete training in the subject of Fashion, Art and Media. It is the first and only educational organization in Greece that has added specialized fashion departments to its academic programs, such as Fashion Design, Fashion Styling, Fashion Marketing, Menswear, Shoe Design, and Showcase Design.
The courses will be completed on May 15th and the beneficiaries will receive a certificate of participation.
