CARITAS ATHENS’ CARNIVAL EVENT AT THE “GOOD SAMARITAN” RETIREMENT HOUSE
In a festive and cheerful atmosphere, with live music, songs, dance, food…, champagne and small presents, Caritas Athens hosted on Tuesday, February 13th its annual event on the occasion of the carnival at the “Good Samaritan” Retirement Home in Pefki.
The large dining room, decorated for the occasion, turned into an entertainment room, where more than 50 elderlies enjoyed the music program offered by Mr. Francesco, dressed as a harlequin. Attendees had many moments of joy, through the rich repertoire played in the accordion for as long as three hours! The foundation’s Director also contributed to the program with his melodious voice. With his high spirits, he urged mostly the ladies to actively participate by singing and dancing, thus proving once more that cheer and energy are not of… age!
The event also joined members of the Organization’s Administration Board Mss. Helen Carabott (Communication, Public Relations, and Third Age Officer) and Nikoletta Delatolla (“Love and Offer” Program Officer), F. Markos Vidalis, as well as many volunteers who kept company to those who did not manage to join the party by visiting them in their rooms!
