CONCERT “THE LÉONIN SCHOOLS SING FOR LOVE” ON THE OCCASION OF CARITAS DAY 2017
The concert “The Léonin Schools sing for Love” took place with great success on Sunday, March 12, in the crowded auditorium of the Patissia Lycée Léonin, organized by Caritas Athens in cooperation with the Patissia Lycée Léonin & the Nea Smyrni Lycée Léonin to celebrate Caritas Day 2017!
Six music groups of all grades from both schools and two hundred students and graduates, performed in the most tender yet professional manner, songs dedicated to the most powerful feeling, Love, following the instructions and conducted by their talented music teachers!
The program included popular Greek and foreign songs, classic and modern melodies and Caritas’ hymn (it means love in Latin), which were performed by the Choir of Patissia Primary School Léonin, conducted by Ms. Nicole Printezi, the Mixed Youth Choir of High School and Lyceum & Graduates of Léonin Patissia, conducted by Vassilis Giotis, the High School-Lyceum Orchestra of Léonin Patissia, conducted by Ms. Spyridoula Kladi-Kakli, the music band of Graduates of Léonin Patissia, with the following members: Giorgos Alexandros Vallis, Claudius Voutsinos and Konstantinos Sarris, the Graduate Dimitris Korres, the Youth Choir of Nea Smyrni Lycée Léonin, as well as the Choir “Ambitus” of Nea Smyrni Lycée Léonin, conducted by Ms. Katerina Vassilikou accompanied by the pianists Mr. Lysimachus Zarifis and Michali Chanos.
The finale of the concert was very exciting, with the participation of all the children and the High School-Lyceum Orchestra of Léonin Patissia who performed the song “Where there is love”, music and lyrics by Mr. Stefanos Varelas, who watched the concert and it was scored and conducted by Ms. Spyridoula Kladi-Kakli!

Sevastianos Rossolatos, His Excellency the Apostolic Administrator of the Ordinariat of Armenian Rite, Fr. Joseph Bezazian, His Honour the President of Greek-French Schools and Marist Brothers in Greece, frère Mathew Levantinos, the priests Fr. Andreas Voutsinos and Fr. Christina Gaspal, the priest Fr. Marcos Vidalis, frères of the Marist Brothers and sisters of the Order of Saint Joseph, the Deputy Director of Patissia Lycée Léonin Mr. Nikos Noulas, the President of the Lycée Léonin Graduates Association, Mr. Panagiotis Mamalis, the members of the Caritas Athens’ Administration Board, the Vice-Chairman and Director Fr. Ioannis Patsis, the General Secretary Ms. Elissavet Ioustinianou-Merritt, the Treasurer Mr. Stanislaos Stouraitis, the Communication-Public Relation Officer Ms. Helen Carabott, Ms. Nikoletta Delatola and Mr. Manolis Sigalas, members and friends of the Organization, graduates, parents and children, who exceeded 650 people, all attended the event!
It should be noted that this year the frères Maristes complete 200 years of presence in education all over the world and the International Organization Caritas 120 years of charity action and support to the fellow human beings with its network operating in 200 countries, in every corner of the globe!
