“MUSIC AND LOVE” FOR THE CARITAS DAY
A musical journey through the time with the title “Music and Love” with the occasion of the Caritas Day was held by Caritas Athens in cooperation with the pianist Mema Irineou, responsible for the Music course at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Science of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, in the auditorium of the "Lycée Léonin- Patissia", on Sunday 27 March 2016.
The Organization’s aim was to share with its members and friends a remarkable concert-retrospection to Love (since Caritas means love in Latin), from ancient times to the present day, through hymns, songs, and recitations with the participation of students, as well as artists!
His Excellency the Catholic Archbishop of Athens and Chairman of Caritas Athens, Fr. Sevastianos Rossolatos honored the event with his presence and spoke about the meaning of the celebration of the day, whereas many priests of the clergy of the Archdiocese, representatives of institutions and many people attended the event, although the rainy weather hindered a larger attendance. The show ended with a little treat.
Caritas Athens would like to thank once more all the participants of the concert: the maker of the show and the artists, the "Lycée Léonin-Patissia" for hosting the event, the famous painter Kostas Spyriounis, who offered one of his works for the poster and the schedule of the event, all those who helped in organizing and, last but not least, the people who responded to the invitation.
