REFUGEE FAMILIES STAYING AT CARITAS ATHENS SHELTERS VISITED THE NATIONAL GARDEN, THE ATTICA ZOOLOGICAL PARK AND TECHNOPOLIS - CITY OF ATHENS
In order to acquaint themselves with the city they stay at, as well as to spend some family time of care freeness, several activities were scheduled by the Sector of Integration for Adults and Children of Caritas Athens in the beginning of 2017.
In particular, a visit to the National Garden with the participation of beneficiaries from two shelters was scheduled, and both children and adults enjoyed the sunny day and their walk, observing various small animals and the lush flora, and finally reached the playground. That walk gave great pleasure to the beneficiaries, since they discovered a nice place in the city, which they can frequently visit!
Moreover, two separate visits to the Attica Zoological Park were materialized with the participation of the refugee beneficiaries (adults and children) form the respective shelters of the Organization.
The visitors watched the spectacular dolphin show and were guided at the magnificent zoo where many rare species of animals, from every corner of the globe can be found, a tour which was a unique experience for most of them!
Finally, beneficiaries from another shelter of Caritas Athens watched the concert of classical music organized by the City of Athens Symphony Orchestra at the Auditorium of the radio station “Athina 984” at Technopolis (Gazi), enjoying a special program of quality music.
