VISIT AND TOUR OF THE FORMER ROYAL TATOI ESTATE ORGANIZED BY CARITAS ATHENS
Around 100 members and friends of Caritas Athens were guided at the former royal estate of Tatoi in the framework of the program “Support for the Third Age”, which is being implemented thanks to the donation of the TIMA Charitable Foundation, on Saturday, April 1.
The tour, which lasted around three hours, thanks to the good weather and even if the cold was bitter, was excellently given by the President of the Tatoi Friends Association, Mr. Vassilis Koutsavlis and the visitors, who were impressed by everything they saw and heard, had the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the autonomous and independent sections: the Palace, the Administration, the “Village” (farming/residential), as well as the Royal Cemetery.
The visit continued with a lunch at the tavern “To Chani” in Katsimidi and a walk around the artificial lake Beletsi, which was created … accidentally in the 70’s in the lush vegetation of the pine forest, oak trees and plane trees, which resembles an alpine landscape and is situated at an altitude of 600 meters, on the foothills of Parnitha, at the magnificent Ippokratios Politia!
