VISIT TO THE MUSEUM OF EDUCATION
Children from the Shelter Program visited the Museum of Education of the School of Philosophy of Athens on Friday, February 24, 2017, where they enjoyed museum learning, they heard a lot of interesting information and they played old traditional games.
The Museum of Education was founded in the School of Philosophy of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) in 1993, it belongs to the sector of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology and the aims of the Museum are the research, studying and preservation of the cultural heritage in the Sector of Education, and the qualifying of graduates in the Faculties of History of Education, Pedagogy, Education, and Museology.
Its first exhibition was held in 2000. Since 2013 the Museum has been operating daily and runs a permanent exhibition and concurrent educational programs and activities specially designed for the age and educational needs of all pupils-visitors of the Primary and Secondary Education.
