Refugee Week Festival 2025: A Celebration of Community

On Friday, June 20th, 2025, as part of the Refugee Week Festival 2025, Caritas Athens welcomed children and adults to KAPAPS Park in Ampelokipoi for a creative and participatory art workshop titled:

“Building Community – Creating Together”

In an atmosphere filled with joy, collaboration, and inspiration, refugees, local residents, families, and volunteers came together to create a large collective collage. Through drawings, words, shapes, and colors, participants uniquely expressed what “community” means to each of them.

At the same time, children were transformed into superheroes through a vibrant face painting activity, adding even more color, fun, and imagination to the event.

Because the greatest superpower is to belong, support, and create together.
